Titmouse and Project X Entertainment Acquire Television Rights to Aya & Pete

We're thrilled to finally be able to share this news - Aya and Pete may be coming to a screen near you very soon! Titmouse, one of the premier Hollywood animation studios, and Project X Entertainment, an LA-based production studio helmed by movie industry veterans, have acquired the television rights to our beloved children's travel book series, The Amazing Adventures of Aya & Pete

We are excited to see what happens in this next chapter of the Aya & Pete story. An animated Aya & Pete television series would give us the opportunity to amplify our message of travel, exploration, inclusivity, and representation to an even wider audience.

The story was featured exclusively in Kidscreen Magazine

The California-based studios are working on an animated series concept that will encourage kids and families to explore different cultures.

Targeting kids ages three to eight, the four-book series is published by Ashima and chronicles the adventures of a little girl and her talking stuffed animal as they travel the world with her parents. Its stories are inspired by the author’s own travels with her daughter, with a focus on values such as curiosity, global citizenry and inclusion.

Each book features a different destination, highlighting its geography, language and food. In the first title, which was first published in 2018, Aya and Pete practice their French and sample the local cuisine in Paris. Later in the series, they make stops in London, New York City and Mexico.

Project X’s EVP of TV Nicole Tossou will helm the animated series project, with her colleagues William Sherak, James Vanderbilt and Paul Neinstein producing alongside Minott and Titmouse.
